Postgratudate Diploma in Management (PGDM)

The program will have 39 papers to be covered in Six trimesters. Besides 24 core courses, 10 first elective courses and 5 second elective courses, there will be 2 more courses carrying 100 marks each viz. 1. Summer Training & Report and 2. Dissertation and Viva Voce. After three terms a student is required to undergo summer training for 8 weeks in a designated company arranged by the institute carrying 100 marks. Before the completion of the program a student has to submit a dissertation report on a subject mutually decided by the student and his/her guide carrying 100 marks. During 1st & 2nd terms of study, students are exposed to all core subjects underlying the concepts and practices of management in various organizations and the electives are offered from 3rd term onwards. The minimum qualification for admission into PGDM (Dual Specialization) Program is Bachelor's Degree in any discpline. For admission students can apply with CAT/XAT/MAT/C-MAT/JEE/Other National Level Tests Score Cards. The candidates pursuing final year graduation and expecting their result by August 31, 2019 can also apply.
The selection will be made on the basis of scores of CAT/ XAT/ MAT/ C-MAT followed by G.D. & P.I, which will be conducted at Bhubaneswar, Kolkata, Jamshedpur, Guwahati, Ranchi, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Delhi and other parts of the country. The date for G.D. & P.I. will be declared later.

A candidate can APPLY ONLINE to IMIS by logging on to for registration. Complete instructions for online application are available at this website. Upon submission of the application form an Identification No (ID) will be allotted to the candidate. Please note this ID Number for further correspondence.

A candidate can also purchase the application form & Info-bulletin by sending Rs.600/- application fee and the same can be submitted to IMIS by post.

The candidate applying through online will send a mail to confirm the acceptance of the application form for admission 2019.

Attested photocopies in duplicates of the following documents and photographs are to be submitted along with the application. The final year graduating students are required to submit the Class X pass certificate and photograph with an undertaking to submit the degree pass mark sheet/certificate by August 31, 2019.

Candidates securing 65% and above in aggregate marks throughout the career will get scholarship of Rs.40,000/- for this Program. Scholarship also available for the candidates of Defence Personnel and Economically Backward Classes. The scholarship amount will be deducted from the installment amount as follows:

All fees paid may be claimed for refund on application to the Admission Coordinator latest by issue of class starting notice or 30th May 2017 whichever is earlier, failing which the amount shall be forfeited. Refund payment is as per AICTE rule.

  • The fees can be paid in cash or draft in favor of "Institute of Management & Information Science" payable at Bhubaneswar.
  • All fees paid to the institute are non-refundable. In case of discontinuity/removal, a candidate can not claim for the refund of fees paid to the institute.
